What they say we say What we say Did you know?

  Fluoride Myths and Facts

The pro-fluoridation crowd has produced a document telling people their side of the issue in a very misleading fashion.
They make a claim, such as this, "
Fluoridated water is safe for babies and young children,"  Under a column called "the Truth."  Then the say what we claim in the next column.  Our purported claim is generally a brief non-sequitur, designed to make us look irrational and lacking in back-up and substance.  The next column gives supporting points to their "TRUTH."  It is headed POSSIBLE RESPONSES TO OPPONENT’S CLAIM.
Although there are many words, there is nothing there except appeals to authority and the status quo, which are formal logical fallacies.  Flaunting endorsements from professional associations is no substitute for science.

Do you agree this is an outrageous attempt at groupthink?   Instead of investigating the numerous studies and claims that indicate danger and harm concerning fluoride in our water, they simply tell you how to answer.  Do you not feel your intelligence insulted?   The word groupthink, of course, comes from the dystopic novel 1984.  In that world, one of their main mottoes is Ignorance is Strength.  Another word from that nightmare novel is doublethink.  They also employ this, stating that fluoride has been an historic success, meanwhile insisting we are in the midst of a dental health crisis!   In fact, the areas of our population with the greatest fluoride exposure have the most cavities.

Find out who, and what, is really behind the push to stop adding fluoride to our water.  Also look into who profits from the continuation of this practice.  If you are really not afraid to be exceptional, find out what fluoride even is, chemically and biologically.  What is Fluorine?  Fluoride ion?  Calcium Fluoride?   Sodium Fluoride?  Stannous Fluoride?  Hydrofluorosilicic Acid?

Follow the links in the document where I present what we really say, in place of their absurd cartoon of what they wished we say.  Rather than parroting the line that all credible scientists endorse fluoride, view some of the many research studies that raise red flags.  Listen to the many scientists, including toxicologists, neurologists, bone specialists, epidemiologists, and even Nobel Laureates, who are very loud and clear about this.  Even many dentists have statements against mass fluoridation.  They all understand the difference between dose and concentration. Do you?
